Transfer Point

Remember Roland's idea for better communication between transfer points? Quite a few weeks ago, he called me to inform me that between Main Street-Science World SkyTrain Station and Broadway Station, the female voice announcing stops had started saying something different as it approached the latter. Instead of just announcing the station, she made note of the fact that it was also a transfer point to the Millennium Line SkyTrain at Commercial Drive Station. I think this only happens on newer trains, and possibly just trains going from Waterfront Station to VCC-Clark. That could be wrong, since I haven't been riding on SkyTrain much lately, but as the video that follows (which is a bit long at over 2 minutes) proves, the new message is not just the station announcement but more information: The full text of the announcement, including ellipsis for the pause:
The next station is ... Broadway. Transfer point to the Millennium Line via Commercial Drive Station.
Earlier this month, after buying a bike, I decided to try taking it on a SkyTrain from VCC-Clark to Commercial Drive Station, where I was to meet my girlfriend. The announcement was also different than I remember, but I didn't have the presence of mind to record it. That changed tonight, as I went out of my way to go from Commercial Drive Station to VCC-Clark and then back, so that I could record the following video: The announcement in this case is longer, ending with a note to tell people how to get into the city:
The next station is ... Commercial Drive. Transfer point to the Expo Line via Broadway Station. Passengers for downtown Vancouver, change here.
